✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was in my house, and he mentioned the Dajjal and said: 'Before him there will be three years: a year in which the sky withholds a third of its rain and the earth a third of its vegetation; the second in which the sky withholds two-thirds of its rain and the earth two-thirds of its vegetation; and the third in which the sky withholds all its rain and the earth all its vegetation, so that no beast with a molar tooth or a cloven hoof remains but perishes. And the severest of his tribulations is that he will come to a Bedouin and say, "Do you see that if I revive your camels for you, will you not know that I am your lord?" He will say, "Yes." Then the devils will appear to him in the form of his camels, with the finest udders and largest humps. He said: And he will come to a man whose brother has died and whose father has died, and say, "Do you see that if I bring your father back to life and bring your brother back to life, will you not know that I am your lord?" He will say, "Yes." Then the devils will appear to him in the form of his father and his brother.' She said: Then the Messenger of God ﷺ went out for a need of his, then returned. She said: The people were in distress and grief at what he had told them. She said: He took hold of the two doorposts and said, 'What is the matter, Asma?' She said: I said, 'O Messenger of God, you have wrenched our hearts with the mention of the Dajjal.' He said, 'If he emerges while I am alive, I will be his adversary; otherwise, my Lord is my vicegerent over every believer.' Asma said, 'O Messenger of God, by God, we knead our dough and do not bake it until we are hungry, so how will it be for the believers on that day?' He said, 'They will be sufficed as the people of heaven are sufficed with glorification and sanctification.'
