machine translationʿAwf al-Aʿrābī narrates it from Ibn Sīrīn, from Abū Hurayrah. Hawdhah b. Khalīfah said this from him. There is disagreement about Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī: al-Ḥasan b. ʿĪsā al-Ḥarbī narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Ayyūb, from Ibn Sīrīn, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ. But ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad al-Musawwar al-Zuhrī contradicted him and narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Ayyūb, from Ibn Sīrīn, from Abū al-Dardāʾ, from the Prophet ﷺ. Al-Ḥumaydī contradicted him too and narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Ayyūb, from Ibn Sīrīn as a mursal report from the Prophet ﷺ. There is also disagreement about Ibn ʿAwn: al-Musayyab b. Sharīk narrated it from Ibn ʿAwn, from Ibn Sīrīn, from Abū al-Dardāʾ, from the Prophet ﷺ, while others narrate it from Ibn ʿAwn, from Ibn Sīrīn as a mursal report. Muslim included it in his Ṣaḥīḥ. It is not sound (lā yaṣiḥḥ); the correct version is from Ibn Sīrīn, from Abū al-Dardāʾ and Salmān.
