machine translationMisʿar narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. ʿAlī b. Ḥarb narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Misʿar, from ʿAmr b. Dīnār, from Yaḥyā b. Jaʿdah, from Umm Hāniʾ, and he erred in this. What is preserved (maḥfūẓ) from Misʿar is from Abū al-ʿAlāʾ, who is Hilāl b. Khabbāb, from Yaḥyā b. Jaʿdah, from Umm Hāniʾ. Likewise said Wakīʿ, Ibn al-Mubārak, ʿAbdullāh b. Dāwūd al-Kharībī, ʿUbaydullāh b. Mūsā and Abū Nuʿaym, from Misʿar. Likewise Qays b. al-Rabīʿ and Fuḍayl b. Manbūdh narrated it from Hilāl b. Khabbāb, and this is the correct (ṣaḥīḥ) version.
