حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْعَيْزَارِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ الْأَحْمَسِيَّةِ قَالَتْ
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَةَ، وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدَةٌ قَدِ الْتَفَعَ بِهَا، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: اسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا وَإِنْ أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ مَا أَقَامَ فِيكُمْ كِتَابَ اللهِ.

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ while he was standing at 'Arafa, wearing a striped cloak that he had wrapped around himself, saying: Listen and obey, even if a Abyssinian slave is placed in command over you, as long as he upholds among you the Book of God.
