حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَدَّتِي تَقُولُ
سَمِعْتُ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ بِعَرَفَاتٍ يَخْطُبُ يَقُولُ: غَفَرَ اللهُ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ. قَالُوا: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ فَقَالَ: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ، فِي الرَّابِعَةِ. قَالَتْ: وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: إِنِ اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ يَقُودُكُمْ بِكِتَابِ اللهِ فَاسْمَعُوا لَهُ وَأَطِيعُوا.

✧ I heard the Prophet of God ﷺ at 'Arafat giving a sermon, saying: May God forgive those who shave their heads, three times. They said: And those who shorten their hair. He said: And those who shorten their hair, on the fourth time. She said: And I heard him say: If a slave is appointed over you who leads you by the Book of God, then listen to him and obey.
