✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to kill dogs. So I went out killing them; I did not see a dog but I killed it. Then there was a dog circling around a house. I went to kill it, and a person from inside the house called me: "O 'Abd Allah, what do you want to do?" I said: "I want to kill this dog." She said: "I am a lost woman, and this dog drives away wild beasts from me and alerts me to visitors. So go to the Prophet ﷺ and mention that to him." He said: So I went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him, and he commanded me to kill it.
