✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: 'God, Mighty and Majestic, made Makkah sacred; people did not make it sacred. Whoever believes in God and the Last Day must not shed blood in it or cut down a tree in it. If someone takes license and says, "It was made permissible for the Messenger of God ﷺ," then indeed God made it permissible for me and did not make it permissible for the people. It is sacred now and will remain sacred until the Hour begins. You, the tribe of Khuza'a, killed this victim, and I am paying his blood money. Whoever has a victim killed after my statement, his family has two choices: either to kill or to accept the blood money.'
