حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ وَيُونُسُ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ قُدَامَةَ قَالَتْ
أَنَا مَعَ أُمِّي رَائِطَةَ بِنْتِ سُفْيَانَ الْخُزَاعِيَّةِ، وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُبَايِعُ النِّسْوَةَ وَيَقُولُ: أُبَايِعُكُنَّ عَلَى أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكْنَ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، وَلَا تَسْرِقْنَ، وَلَا تَزْنِينَ، وَلَا تَقْتُلْنَ أَوْلَادَكُنَّ، وَلَا تَأْتِينَ بِبُهْتَانٍ تَفْتَرِينَهُ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُنَّ وَأَرْجُلِكُنَّ، وَلَا تَعْصِيَنِّي فِي مَعْرُوفٍ. قَالَتْ: فَأَطْرَقْنَ، فَقَالَ لَهُنَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: قُلْنَ: نَعَمْ، فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتُنَّ. فَكُنَّ يَقُلْنَ وَأَقُولُ مَعَهُنَّ وَأُمِّي تُلَقِّنُنِي: قُولِي أَيْ بُنَيَّةُ نَعَمْ، فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، فَكُنْتُ أَقُولُ كَمَا يَقُلْنَ

✧ I was with my mother Raitah bt. Sufyan al-Khuzaiyyah while the Prophet ﷺ was taking the pledge from the women and saying: I pledge you that you shall not associate anything with God, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill your children, nor bring a calumny you forge between your hands and feet, nor disobey me in what is right. She said: So they lowered their heads, and the Prophet ﷺ said to them: Say: Yes, insofar as we are able. So they said, and I said with them while my mother prompted me: Say, my little daughter, yes, insofar as I am able; and so I said as they said.
