machine translationHishām b. ʿUrwah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī narrated it, and there is disagreement about Ayyūb. Khārijah b. Muṣʿab narrated it from Ayyūb, from Hishām, from Fāṭimah, from Asmāʾ. ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Thaqafī contradicted him, and there is disagreement about him as well: it is said from ʿAbd al-Wahhāb, from Ayyūb, from Hishām, from ʿUrwah, from Asmāʾ; and it is said from Ayyūb, from Hishām, from Asmāʾ, as a mursal report. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Thābit b. Thawbān also narrated it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū Khulayd ʿUtbah b. Ḥammād narrated it, and there is disagreement about him. Munjāb narrated it from Sharīk, from Hishām, from his father, from Fāṭimah bt. al-Mundhir, who said: "We ate horse meat during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," and he did not mention Asmāʾ. He erred in two places: he omitted Asmāʾ from it, and he said in it "from his father, from Asmāʾ." ʿAlī b. Ḥarb said, from Abū Muʿāwiyah, from Hishām, from Fāṭimah; and ʿAbbād b. Ḥamzah from Asmāʾ. The memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) among the companions of Hishām, among them al-Thawrī, Ḥammād b. Zayd, Maʿmar, Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān and others, said: from Hishām, from Fāṭimah bt. al-Mundhir, from Asmāʾ, and this is the correct version.
