حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ قَالَتْ

نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ بِأَعْلَى مَكَّةَ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ. فَجَاءَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ بِجَفْنَةٍ فِيهَا مَاءٌ، قَالَتْ: إِنِّي لَأَرَى فِيهَا أَثَرَ الْعَجِينِ. قَالَتْ: فَسَتَرَهُ - يَعْنِي أَبَا ذَرٍّ [ ؓ ] - فَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ وَذَلِكَ فِي الضُّحَى

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ had stayed at the upper part of Makkah on the day of the conquest, so I went to him. Abu Dharr came with a large wooden bowl containing water. She said: "I could see in it traces of dough." She said: "He screened him — meaning Abu Dharr ؓ — and he performed a full ablution, then the Prophet ﷺ prayed eight rak'ahs, and that was in the forenoon."
