✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up in a gloomy mood. It was said to him, "What is wrong with you, O Messenger of Allah, that you have woken up gloomy?" He said, "Jibril ﷺ promised me that he would meet me, but he did not meet me, and he never breaks his promise to me." That night he did not come to him, nor the second, nor the third. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ suspected a puppy that was under our bed, so he ordered that it be taken out. Then he took water and sprinkled its place. Jibril ﷺ came and said, "You promised me, but I have not seen you." He said, "We do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image." He said, "So on that day he ordered the killing of dogs." He said, "Until even the dog of the small walled garden would be asked about, and he would order it to be killed."
