✧ She had been with a man before Abu Lubabah and had become husbandless from him. Her father Khidham b. Khalid married her to a man from Banu ‘Amr b. ‘Awf b. al-Khazraj. She refused unless she could go down to Abu Lubabah, and her father refused unless he bound her to the ‘Awfi, until their matter was brought up to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “She is more entitled to her own affair,” and he joined her to her desire. He said: She was taken away from the ‘Awfi, and she married Abu Lubabah and bore him al-Sa’ib b. Abi Lubabah.
