✧ Al-Harith b. Abi Rabiah and Abdullah b. Safwan—and I was with them—entered upon Umm Salamah and asked her about the army that would be swallowed up—and that was during the days of Ibn al-Zubayr. Umm Salamah said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: A seeker of refuge will seek refuge at the Hijr, and God will send an army. When they are at a desert plain of the earth, they will be swallowed up. I said: O Messenger of God, what about one who is brought out against his will? He said: He will be swallowed up with them, but he will be resurrected according to his intention on the Day of Resurrection.

machine translationʿAmmār al-Duhnī narrates it from Sālim b. Abī al-Jaʿd, from ʿAbdullāh b. Shaddād, that Ḥafṣah or Umm Salamah said, from the Prophet ﷺ. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Ajlaḥ narrated it from ʿAmmār. ʿAbd al-Malik b. Maysarah narrated it from Yūsuf b. Māhak, from ʿAbdullāh b. Ṣafwān, and he traced it back (to the Prophet) through ʿĀʾishah. The hadith is well known from Umm Salamah: ʿUbaydullāh b. al-Qibṭiyyah narrated it from her, along with those we mentioned before him. It was also narrated by al-Maʿrūr b. Suwayd and Sālim b. Ṣafwān from Umm Salamah.
