✧ It reached her that Ibn 'Umar narrated from his father 'Umar b. al-Khattab that the Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'The deceased is punished by his family's weeping over him.' She said, 'May God have mercy on 'Umar and Ibn 'Umar! By God, they are neither liars nor deniers nor adding anything. The Messenger of God ﷺ only said that concerning a man from the Jews, and he passed by his family while they were weeping over him, and he said, "They are weeping over him, and God, Mighty and Majestic, is indeed punishing him in his grave."'
