✧ Sahlah bint Suhayl came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said to him: 'O Prophet of God, Salim was among us as you know; we used to regard him as a son, and he would enter upon me however he wished without us being reserved with him. But when God revealed about him and those like him what He revealed, I noticed displeasure on the face of Abu Hudhayfah when he saw him entering upon me.' He said: 'Breastfeed him ten breastfeedings, then let him enter upon you however he wishes, for he is only your son.' Aishah considered it general for the Muslims, while others among the wives of the Prophet ﷺ considered it specific to Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhayfah, about whose situation Sahlah mentioned, as a concession for him.
