Translation

✧ A woman stretched out her hand from behind the curtain with a letter to the Messenger of God ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ withdrew his hand and said: “I do not know whether it is a man’s hand or a woman’s hand.” She said: “Rather, a woman.” He said: “Had you been a woman, you would have changed your nails with henna.”
