✧ I heard my mother narrate that her mother went to the House as a pilgrim, and the House at that time had two doors. She said: When I finished my circumambulation, I entered upon Aishah ؓ. She said: I said: 'O Mother of the Believers, one of your sons sent greetings to you, and the people have spoken much about Uthman, so what do you say about him?' She said: 'May Allah curse the one who curses him. May Allah curse the one who curses him' — I think she said it three times — 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ resting his thigh against Uthman, and I was wiping the sweat from the forehead of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while revelation was descending upon him. He married two of his daughters to him, one after the other, and he said: "Write, Uthman." She said: Allah would not have placed a servant of His Prophet in such a station except a servant noble to Him.'
