✧ While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was lying down in my house, he suddenly sat up abruptly, saying, 'Truly, to Allah we belong and to Him we return.' I said: 'May my father and mother be your ransom, what is the matter, O Messenger of Allah, that you are saying, "Truly, to Allah we belong and to Him we return"?' He said: 'An army from my community will come from the direction of Syria, heading for the House, for a man whom Allah will protect from them. When they are at the desert of Dhu al-Hulayfah, they will be swallowed up, and their destinations are diverse.' I said: 'O Prophet of Allah, how can they all be swallowed up when their destinations are diverse?' He said: 'Among them are those who were compelled—among them are those who were compelled!' three times.
