حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَبِيتُ جُنُبًا، فَيَأْتِيهِ بِلَالٌ فَيُؤْذِنُهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ، فَيَقُومُ فَيَغْتَسِلُ. فَأَنْظُرُ إِلَى تَحَادُرِ الْمَاءِ فِي شَعَرِهِ وَجِلْدِهِ، ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ فَأَسْمَعُ صَوْتَهُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ، ثُمَّ يَظَلُّ صَائِمًا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ would spend the night in a state of janabah, then Bilal would come to him and announce the prayer, so he would get up and perform ghusl. I would look at the water dripping from his hair and skin, then he would go out and I would hear his voice in the dawn prayer, then he would remain fasting.
