✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered ihram for Hajj and 'Umrah in the Farewell Hajj, and drove his sacrificial animal with him. Some people entered ihram for 'Umrah with him and drove sacrificial animals, and some entered ihram for 'Umrah without driving sacrificial animals. 'A'ishah said: I was among those who entered ihram for 'Umrah and did not drive a sacrificial animal. When the Prophet ﷺ arrived, he said: Whoever among you entered ihram for 'Umrah and drove a sacrificial animal with him, let him circumambulate the House and go between al-Safa and al-Marwah, and he may not exit from anything that became forbidden to him until he completes his Hajj and sacrifices his animal on the Day of Sacrifice. And whoever among you entered ihram for 'Umrah and did not drive a sacrificial animal with him, let him circumambulate the House and go between al-Safa and al-Marwah, then let him exit ihram and become free of restrictions, then let him enter ihram for Hajj and offer a sacrifice. Whoever cannot find one, then fasting three days during the Hajj and seven when he returns to his family. 'A'ishah said: So the Messenger of God ﷺ gave precedence to the Hajj, which he feared would be missed, and delayed the 'Umrah.

machine translationSomeone else claimed that this is a mistake on the part of ʿUrwah, and that the correct version is the narration of al-Aswad, al-Qāsim and ʿAmrah from her, that she entered the state of iḥrām for Ḥajj alone (ifrād).
