حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادٌ أَنَّ أَبَا نَهِيكٍ أَخْبَرَهُ

أَنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ: أَنْ لَا وِتْرَ لِمَنْ أَدْرَكَ الصُّبْحَ، فَانْطَلَقَ رِجَالٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ فَأَخْبَرُوهَا، فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصْبِحُ فَيُوتِرُ

Translation

✧ "There is no (optional) Witr prayer for those who have witnessed the morning, so a group of believers went to Aisha and informed her. She said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to offer the Witr prayer in the morning.'"
