✧ I was reclining with 'A'ishah, and she said: 'O Abu 'A'ishah, I was the first to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about this. He said: "That is Jibril. I did not see him in his form in which he was created except twice. I saw him descending from the heaven, the greatness of his form filling what is between the heaven and the earth."'

What scholars said about it
In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.
- Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationMuslim recorded this portion, as al-Tirmidhī said, and I think the addition after it is an interpolation (mudraj) in the report, for the one who narrated it from Dāwūd was not a reliable memorizer (ḥāfiẓ).
