حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
جَاءَتْ سَهْلَةُ بِنْتُ سُهَيْلٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّ سَالِمًا كَانَ يُدْعَى لِأَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ، وَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ أَنْزَلَ كِتَابَهُ ادْعُوهُمْ لآبَائِهِمْ فَكَانَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيَّ وَأَنَا فُضُلٌ، وَنَحْنُ فِي مَنْزِلٍ ضَيِّقٍ، فَقَالَ: أَرْضِعِي سَالِمًا تَحْرُمِي عَلَيْهِ

✧ Sahlah bint Suhayl came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'Salim used to be called a son of Abu Hudhayfah, and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has revealed in His Book, "Call them by their fathers." He used to enter upon me when I was in a state of undress, and we are in a cramped dwelling.' He said, 'Breastfeed Salim, and you will become unlawful to him.'
