✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned to me one day from a funeral at al-Baqi', and I was feeling a headache in my head, and I was saying, 'Oh, my head!' He said, 'Rather, I am the one with the headache.' Then he said, 'What harm would it do you if you died before me, and I washed you, shrouded you, then prayed over you and buried you?' I said, 'But I—or it is as if I can see you—by Allah, if you did that, you would return to my house and consummate marriage in it with one of your wives.' She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled. Then his illness, in which he died, began.
