حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُفْيَانُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ سَوْدَةَ كَانَتِ امْرَأَةً ثَبِطَةً ثَقِيلَةً اسْتَأْذَنَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَنْ تَدْفَعَ قَبْلَ دَفْعَتِهِ مِنْ جَمْعٍ، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ اسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ.

✧ Sawdah was a stout, heavy woman. She asked permission of the Prophet ﷺ to hasten from Muzdalifah before his departure, and he permitted her. ʿAʾishah said, 'I wish I had asked his permission.'
