machine translationSo he brought the correct report from ʿĀʾishah, meaning Muʿāwiyah b. Hishām, in his saying "from his father", and its wording is: The Prophet ﷺ used to kiss while fasting.
in مسند أحمد, p. 26353 - Dāraquṭnī
machine translationThe hadith is mursal and is not established (meaning the hadith of Ḥafṣah), and the statement of al-Thawrī is more reliable than the statement of Abū Ḥanīfah.
in مسند أحمد, p. 26353 - Dāraquṭnī
machine translationAbū Ḥanīfah narrated it from Abū Rawq, from Ibrāhīm al-Taymī, from some of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ. Al-Thawrī contradicted him and narrated it from Abū Rawq, from Ibrāhīm al-Taymī, from ʿĀʾishah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Muʿāwiyah b. Hishām said, from al-Thawrī, from Abū Rawq, from Ibrāhīm al-Taymī, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah. The statement of al-Thawrī is closer to the correct view.
