حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ. قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ، وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ: قَالَتْ: قَبَّلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ مَظْعُونٍ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ، قَالَتْ: فَرَأَيْتُ دُمُوعَهُ تَسِيلُ عَلَى خَدَّيْهِ، يَعْنِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: وَعَيْنَاهُ تُهْرَاقَانِ، أَوْ قَالَ: وَهُوَ يَبْكِي.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissed. Abd al-Rahman said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissing. Waki' said: She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissed Uthman b. Maz'un while he was dead. She said: I saw his tears flowing on his cheeks, meaning Uthman's. Abd al-Rahman said: And his eyes were pouring, or he said: while he was weeping.
