حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
كَانَ إِذَا رَأَى نَاشِئًا مِنْ أُفُقٍ مِنْ آفَاقِ السَّمَاءِ تَرَكَ عَمَلَهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِيهِ، فَإِنْ كَشَفَهُ اللهُ حَمِدَ اللهَ، وَإِنْ مَطَرَتْ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ سَيْبًا نَافِعًا.

✧ When he saw a cloud rising from any horizon of the sky, he would leave his work, even if he was in his prayer, then he would say: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what is in it. If Allah dispersed it, he praised Allah, and if it rained, he said: O Allah, a beneficial downpour.
