✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and led the people in prayer, prolonging the recitation. Then he bowed and prolonged the bowing. Then he raised his head and prolonged the recitation, but it was shorter than his first recitation. Then he bowed and prolonged the bowing, but it was shorter than his first bowing. Then he raised his head and prostrated twice. Then he stood and did in the second rak'ah the same as that. Then he finished and said, 'The sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone, but they are two signs from among the signs of Allah, Mighty and Majestic. So when you see that, hasten to prayer.'
