حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
وَاللهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُومُ عَلَى بَابِ حُجْرَتِي، وَالْحَبَشَةُ يَلْعَبُونَ بِالْحِرَابِ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْتُرُنِي بِرِدَائِهِ لِأَنْظُرَ إِلَى لَعِبِهِمْ مِنْ بَيْنِ أُذُنِهِ وَعَاتِقِهِ، ثُمَّ يَقُومُ مِنْ أَجْلِي حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَنَا الَّتِي أَنْصَرِفُ، فَاقْدُرُوا قَدْرَ الْجَارِيَةِ الْحَدِيثَةِ السِّنِّ، الْحَرِيصَةِ عَلَى اللهْوِ.

✧ By Allah, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stand at the door of my room while the Abyssinians were playing with spears, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was screening me with his cloak so that I could watch their play from between his ear and his shoulder. Then he stood for my sake until I was the one who turned away. So estimate the capacity of a young girl, eager for amusement.
