✧ When twenty-nine nights had passed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me. She said: "He started with me, so I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you swore not to enter upon us for a month, but you have entered after twenty-nine nights; I have been counting them.' He said: 'The month is twenty-nine nights.' Then he said: 'O Aishah, I am going to mention something to you, but you should not hasten in it until you consult your parents.' Then he recited to me the verse: 'O Prophet, say to your wives...' until he reached '...a great reward.' Aishah said: 'He knew that my parents would not command me to part from him.' She said: 'I said: Should I consult my parents about this? Indeed, I desire Allah and His Messenger and the Hereafter.'"
