حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً، وَكَانَ يُوتِرُ بِخَمْسِ سَجَدَاتٍ لَا يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُنَّ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ، ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمَ.

Translation

  4. ʿĀʾishah
  5. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray thirteen units of prayer at night and he would perform the Witr prayer with five prostrations. He would not sit between them (the prostrations) until he sat in the final one, then he would give the salutation.
