machine translationZayd b. Aslam narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū Ghassān Muḥammad b. Muṭarrif narrated it from Zayd b. Aslam, from ʿAṭāʾ b. Yasār, from ʿĀʾishah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Mālik, al-Darāwardī, Fulayḥ and others contradicted him: they narrated it from Zayd b. Aslam, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Waʿlah, from Ibn ʿAbbās, and this is the preserved (maḥfūẓ) version.
