✧ One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned Khadijah and was lavish in praising her. Then I was seized by what seizes women of jealousy, so I said: Allah has compensated you, O Messenger of Allah, with an old woman among the old women of Quraysh, red of the cheeks. She said: The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed in a way I never saw it change at anything except at the descent of revelation or at a rain cloud, until he knew whether it was a mercy or a punishment.
