حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
جُعِلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ بُرْدَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ مِنْ صُوفٍ فَذَكَرَ بَيَاضَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَسَوَادَهَا، فَلَمَّا عَرِقَ وَجَدَ مِنْهَا رِيحَ الصُّوفِ فَقَذَفَهَا. قَالَ: وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَدْ قَالَتْ: كَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ الرِّيحُ الطَّيِّبَةُ.

✧ A black woolen cloak was made for the Prophet ﷺ, and it contrasted with the whiteness of the Prophet ﷺ and its blackness. When he sweated, he noticed from it the smell of wool and threw it off. He said: And I think she said: He liked pleasant scents.
