✧ He entered with 'Ubayd b. 'Umayr upon 'A'ishah, and 'Ubayd b. 'Umayr asked her: How did the Messenger of God ﷺ recite this verse: 'those who commit what they commit' or 'those who bring what they bring' or 'those who bring what they bring'? She said: Which of the two is more beloved to you? He said: By God, one of them is more beloved to me than such and such. She said: Which one? He said: 'those who commit what they commit.' She said: I testify that the Messenger of God ﷺ recited it thus, and thus it was revealed, but the spelling is one letter.
