حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ
سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ غُسْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ يَغْسِلُ يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ يَغْسِلُ فَرْجَهُ، ثُمَّ يَغْسِلُ يَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ يَتَمَضْمَضُ وَيَسْتَنْشِقُ، ثُمَّ يَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ، ثُمَّ يُفْرِغُ عَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ.

✧ I asked Aishah about the ghusl of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from major ritual impurity. She said: He would wash his hands three times, then wash his private part, then wash his hands, then rinse his mouth and sniff water into his nose, then pour water over his head, then pour water over the rest of his body.
