حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ
أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَمَرَتْ بِجِنَازَةِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ أَنْ تَمُرَّ عَلَيْهَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَبَلَغَهَا أَنْ قِيلَ فِي ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَتْ: مَا أَسْرَعَ النَّاسَ إِلَى الْقَوْلِ، وَاللهِ مَا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى سُهَيْلِ ابْنِ بَيْضَاءَ إِلَّا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ

✧ Aisha ordered the funeral of Saʿd b. Abi Waqqas to be brought past her in the mosque. It reached her that someone had said something about that, so she said: How quick people are to speak! By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed over Suhayl b. Baydaʾ only in the mosque.
