حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُحِبُّ التَّيَمُّنَ فِي شَأْنِهِ كُلِّهِ فِي طُهُورِهِ وَتَرَجُّلِهِ وَنَعْلِهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ بِالْكُوفَةِ فَقَالَ التَّيَمُّنَ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to like starting with the right in all his affairs: in his purification, his combing his hair, and his putting on sandals. He said: Then I asked him in Kufa, and he said: Starting with the right as much as he could.
