حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي مُعَاذَةُ الْعَدَوِيَّةُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ مُرْنَ أَزْوَاجَكُنَّ
أَنْ يَغْسِلُوا عَنْهُمْ أَثَرَ الْخَلَاءِ وَالْبَوْلِ فَإِنِّي أَسْتَحِي أَنْ آمُرَهُمْ بِذَلِكَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ

✧ That they should wash away from themselves the traces of defecation and urine, for I am too shy to command them to do that; indeed, the Messenger of God ﷺ used to do it.
