حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ اخْتَصَمَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنُ أَخِي عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ ابْنُهُ انْظُرْ إِلَى شَبَهِهِ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ هَذَا أَخِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وُلِدَ عَلَى فِرَاشِ أَبِي فَنَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى شَبَهِهِ فَرَأَى شَبَهًا بَيِّنًا بِعُتْبَةَ فَقَالَ هُوَ لَكَ يَا عَبْدُ بْنَ زَمْعَةَ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ وَاحْتَجِبِي مِنْهُ يَا سَوْدَةُ ابْنَةَ زَمْعَةَ قَالَتْ فَلَمْ يَرَ سَوْدَةَ قَطُّ

✧ She said: Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas and Abd b. Zam'ah brought a dispute to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Sa'd said: O Messenger of Allah, the son of my brother Utbah b. Abi Waqqas; he had entrusted to me that this is his son. Look at his resemblance. Abd b. Zam'ah said: This is my brother, O Messenger of Allah, born on my father's bed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at his resemblance and saw a clear resemblance to Utbah. He said: He is yours, O Abd b. Zam'ah. The child belongs to the bed, and the adulterer gets the stone. And veil yourself from him, O Sawdah bint Zam'ah. She said: And he never saw Sawdah after that.
