✧ I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, 'Abd Allah b. Jud'an used to, in the pre-Islamic era, entertain guests, free captives, maintain family ties, and be a good neighbor,' and I praised him. 'Will that benefit him?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'No. He never once said: O Allah, forgive me on the Day of Reckoning.'
