حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا مَرِضَ أَوْ نَامَ صَلَّى بِالنَّهَارِ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً. قَالَتْ: وَمَا رَأَيْتُهُ قَامَ لَيْلَةً إِلَى الصُّبْحِ، وَلَا صَامَ شَهْرًا تَامًّا مُتَتَابِعًا إِلَّا رَمَضَانَ. وَقَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْمَلُ عَمَلًا يُثْبِتُهُ
Translation

✧ And when the Prophet ﷺ was ill or slept, he would pray twelve rak'ahs during the day. She said: "I never saw him stand in prayer from night until morning, nor fast a complete consecutive month except Ramadan." She said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do a deed and keep doing it consistently."
