حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَالْخُزَاعِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنَا أُمُّ بَكْرٍ بِنْتُ الْمِسْوَرِ قَالَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ عَنْ أُمِّ بَكْرٍ بِنْتِ الْمِسْوَرِ

أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ بَاعَ أَرْضًا لَهُ مِنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ بِأَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ، فَقَسَمَهُ فِي فُقَرَاءِ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ, وَفِي الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَأُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ. قَالَ الْمِسْوَرُ: فَأَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ بِنَصِيبِهَا فَقَالَتْ: مَنْ أَرْسَلَ بِهَذَا ؟ فَقُلْتُ: عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَتْ: أَمَا إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: - وَقَالَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ -: لَا يَحْنُو عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي إِلَّا الصَّابِرُونَ. سَقَى اللهُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ.

✧ Who sent this? I said it was Abdur Rahman. She said, "Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, and Al-Khuzaiyya said, 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'None of you will have a special place in my heart after me except the patient ones.' Allah has quenched the thirst of Abdur Rahman ibn Awf from the Salasabil of Paradise."
