✧ 'A'ishah, the Mother of the Believers, saw me washing away a trace of janabah that had gotten on my garment. She said: What is this? I said: Janabah got on my garment. She said: I have seen us [in such a state] when it would get on the garment of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he would do no more than rub it like this.

machine translationAuthentic (ṣaḥīḥ) from the hadith of Ibrāhīm, from al-Aswad and Hammām, from ʿĀʾishah, because Ḥafṣ b. Ghiyāth combined the two from al-Aʿmash, and because al-Ashjaʿī, from al-Thawrī, combined the two from Manṣūr. And God knows best.
