حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْبِتْعِ - وَالْبِتْعُ نَبِيذُ الْعَسَلِ, وَكَانَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ يَشْرَبُونَهُ - فَقَالَ: كُلُّ شَرَابٍ أَسْكَرَ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about bit‘—and bit‘ is the nabidh of honey, which the people of Yemen used to drink. He said: “Every drink that intoxicates is forbidden.”
