✧ Aishah once stopped at Safiyyah, the mother of Talhah al-Talhat, and saw her daughters praying without headcovers, for they had begun menstruating. He said: Aishah said: “No girl among them should pray except in a headcover. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came upon me when there was a girl in my lap, and he threw his waist-wrapper over me, saying: ‘Split it between this one and the young woman in the lap of Umm Salamah, for I consider her to have begun menstruating,’ or ‘I consider them both to have begun menstruating.’”
