✧ God took the covenant from the back of Adam at Naʿmān — meaning ʿArafah — and brought forth from his loins every offspring He had created, scattering them before Him like tiny ants. Then He spoke to them face to face, saying, “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, we bear witness” — lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, “We were unaware of this,” or lest you should say, “It was only our fathers who associated others with God before, and we were descendants after them. Will You then destroy us for what the falsifiers did?”
