حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ حَدِّثُهُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَعَا فَاطِمَةَ ابْنَتَهُ فَسَارَّهَا فَبَكَتْ ثُمَّ سَارَّهَا فَضَحِكَتْ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَقُلْتُ لِفَاطِمَةَ مَا هَذَا الَّذِي سَارَّكِ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَبَكَيْتِ ثُمَّ سَارَّكِ فَضَحِكْتِ؟ قَالَتْ سَارَّنِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي بِمَوْتِهِ فَبَكَيْتُ ثُمَّ سَارَّنِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَتْبَعُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ فَضَحِكْتُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called Fatimah, his daughter, and spoke secretly to her, and she wept. Then he spoke secretly to her, and she laughed. Aishah said: So I said to Fatimah, "What is this that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke secretly to you about, and you wept, then he spoke secretly to you and you laughed?" She said, "He spoke secretly to me and informed me of his death, so I wept. Then he spoke secretly to me and informed me that I would be the first of his family to follow him, so I laughed."
