✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, so the Prophet ﷺ came to the place of prayer, said the takbir, and the people said the takbir. Then he recited and recited aloud, prolonging the standing. Then he bowed and prolonged the bowing. Then he raised his head and said: “God hears those who praise Him.” Then he stood and recited, prolonging the recitation. Then he bowed and prolonged the bowing. Then he raised his head, then prostrated, then stood and did the same in the second unit. Then he said: “The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of God, Mighty and Majestic. They do not eclipse for the death or life of anyone. So when that happens, hasten to prayer.”
